Keep up to date on a weekly basis by reading our class blog. Please also keep up to date with the parent calendar for any class trips and parental involvement sessions in class.
Every child across the
school has a sumdog account. Children will have time in class to use their
accounts to help with their maths skills, but please help your child's maths
development by using the website at home as well. Sumdog is a a fun and interactive
way to help your child progress and practise the skills learnt in class.
Every child also has access to timestablesrockstars. This website allows children to practise their times tables at home and at school. It is now a requirement that children know all the multiplication and division facts for all multiplication up to 12x12.
Please come and see us if your child has forgotten or lost their passwords for these websites, if you have any questions or if you would like help in supporting learning at home.
We will be using Spelling Shed as our weekly spellings in class. Children all have access to the website and are encouraged to use it regularly to ensure they continue practising spellings.
PE is on a Wednesday morning and a
Friday morning. Please ensure that children have both indoor and outdoor kit
with them. This consists of black or navy shorts and tracksuit bottoms, a white
t shirt, black or navy sweatshirt and trainers or plimsolls. Children need to
come to school not wearing earrings on these days please. We have been lucky
enough to be able to use the AstroTurf so we will be walking to Barry Road every
Friday for PE. After October half term we will be also starting swimming.
